Creating a trapezoidal beam load
- Select a load case either in the Load Description tree or using the Load Case Selector list in the Standard toolbar.
- Select the Force and Position Units to use for the load.
- Specify the magnitude of the force at start (Force (W1)) and end ( Force (W2)) of the load, along with the Direction in which to apply the force.
- Define start and end locations along the member by specifying the Start Distance (d1) and End Distance (d2). If left both are left as zero, the load is placed along the entire length of the beam.
- Click the Add button. The load is added to the load case.
